Here are seven of those gifts. Giving these gifts will allow you to share with others your most unique treasure: your authentic self. Each gift will return to you many times. As you read about each of these gifts, think about ways that you could share that gift with someone today.
1. Share appreciation
Tell someone how much you appreciate the faith they've shown in you. Thank them sincerely for being part of your life. Tell them how much they are needed. Feeling appreciated is one of the most important needs that people have. When you share with someone your appreciation and gratitude, they will not forget you. Appreciation will return to you many times.
2. Share time
Balance your time expenditures so you can spend time with the people that you love. Support local organizations by sharing your special talents. Volunteer time for projects that benefit others in your community, country, and world.
When we slow down and observe our thoughts closely, we will sometimes uncover gifts and talents we didn't know we had. Sharing time and talents can result in discoveries that bring happiness beyond measure.
3. Share knowledge and ideas
Tell someone about a great book that you read so they can benefit from it too. Teach a new concept or idea that you' ve learned. One of the best ways to strengthen new concepts in your mind is to share them with others. The more often you share what you've learned, the stronger that information will become in your memory. Sharing knowledge also provides solutions to problems. The more knowledge we share, the more knowledge we receive in return.
4. Share friendship
Acknowledge someone's strengths. Let them know that you are willing to be there when they need you. Visit someone you haven't seen for a long time. Telephone friends or relatives who live far away. Introduce two friends who don' t know each other.Bringing one individual into another's life can result in tremendous changes for both people, and for you. We succeed with the help of others. People grow by growing together. If you'd like to have many friends, then share friendship with others generously.
5. Share kindness
Perform a random act of kindness for someone: a smile, compliment, or a favor just for fun. These will multiply and spread very rapidly. There is a powerful quote by Stephen Jay Gould who said, " The center of human nature is rooted in ten thousand ordinary acts of kindness that define our days." Kindness is priceless. The love, kindnesses, and value we have given authentically to others will be our remaining treasures at the end of life.
6. Share experience
Keep written or photo journals of your life: things you've done, places you've traveled, things you've learned. Record successes and failures. Share a happy memory. Also share the difficult times that have helped you become stronger and wiser. When shared, the value of these experiences multiplies. Our unique experiences and perceptions of life are priceless. Sharing experiences will build one of the strongest bonds with others. Our descendants can learn and benefit from our lifetime experiences for generations to come.
7. Share enthusiasm
If you are excited about a new success, tell someone. If you're ecstatic about a new project, show your glow. Your enthusiasm will inspire others to move forward with actions that bring rewarding achievements. Enthusiasm keeps us looking forward to the future. It brings many of those exciting days that we can savor with gratitude. That kind of glowing excitement for life is impossible to hide. It is contagious and will quickly spread to others.
Think about this statement by Norman MacEwan: "Happiness is not so much in having as sharing. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." Sharing these gifts sends our thoughts on a far-reaching journey where they will touch many lives, and reconnect with our own. Would you like to receive these same life- enhancing gifts again and again? Begin multiplying your happiness by sharing one of these special gifts with someone today!

Effective Time Management

Time management is one of the hardest things to master. For some people it comes easy and for others it can be very difficult. It all matters on how motivated you are to get things done. The first step you need to take in having effective time management is setting your priorities straight. Once you know what needs to be done and how much time you have to do it, it will make the process easier. Most people know what needs to be done, but the problem comes when you need to turn your thoughts into actions. Thier are many factors that go into whether or not your thoughts will be turned into actions. It's all about economics. If I do this, will my future become easier or harder. Too many people live in the moment, thinking that some things can wait. Procrastinating usually stems from this ideology. Sometimes it is just plain laziness.Sometimes people need tools to help them manage time. Ask yourself what your tools are? Your tool may be an organizer, PDA, laptop, notebook or it may even be writing things down on your hand. Once you know what works best for you, use it! By not doing things throughout your day, you are essentially not living your life. Set goals and use your time managment skills to achieve those goals. By doing this you can achieve things you want to do with your life and you will find the life is not as hard as it may seem!

Where Is Happiness?

Do you move through life feeling everyday is the same? Like some repeated pattern that goes on and on? For some people, there's nothing new to do under the sun, and nowhere to go. Everything is just boring, boring, boring. For life to have zest, everyone needs that natural feeling of drive, anticipation, and excitement. When one does not know how to get it naturally, one may resort to vices to stimulate that sense of being fully alive, desperately trying to bring some meaning into life. But you see, happiness is within you... If you can’t satisfy your wants, then the other way to happiness is to release them. Many of our desires are misplaced. We think getting them will bring us happiness, but that is an illusion. These misplaced desires are nothing more than temporary pleasures. You don't need to satisfy your desires to be happy; you need only release them. The people who feel good everyday, without resorting to vices, have one mental characteristic in common. They have a dream, and they know what they want to achieve in life. This sense of purpose drives them; gives meaning to their existence. They have discovered their soul's calling, and are living life to the fullest by following it. This is different from those who are 'party animals', "living life to the fullest" by drowning in deafening music, and shaking till the sun rises... That's not living, that's dying. If you want to find true meaning and happiness in life, then you've got to uncover your life's purpose. For each of us has a unique destiny. A path made specially for you to walk on this journey through life. Follow it, and you arrive in paradise. Ignore it, and you continue to wander... wasting time, and life itself.By choosing to live your purpose and answer your soul’s calling, you break free from the chains of monotony, and find truth, meaning, and happiness in life.

Motivational Quotes On Conscience

"I am only one. They'll say something or fail to say something that will hurt you. And they'll do something or fail to do something that will anger you. It's inevitable. Unfortunately, you make things worse when you stew over someone's words and deeds. When you dwell on a rude remark or an insensitive action made by another person, you're headed for deeper problems. In fact, the more you dwell on these things, the more bitter you'll get. You'll find your joy, peace and happiness slipping away. And you'll find your productivity slowing down as you spend more and more time thinking about the slight or telling others about it. Eventually, if you don't stop doing it, you'll even get sick. So what should you do the next time someone betrays you? TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR FEELINGS. Even though the other person may be at fault, even though the other person wronged you, you are still responsible for your own feelings.

Sucess Story Of Sam Walton

Surfing the net, I came across this insipiring story of sam walton and thought it would be great to share it with you.Sam Walton, the founder of Wal-Mart, grew up poor in a farm community in rural Missouri during the Great Depression. The poverty he experienced while growing up taught him the value of money and to persevere. After attending the University of Missouri, he immediately worked for J.C. Penny where he got his first taste of retailing. He served in World War II, after which he became a successful franchiser of Ben Franklin five-and-dime stores. In 1962, he had the idea of opening bigger stores, sticking to rural areas, keeping costs low and discounting heavily. The management disagreed with his vision. Undaunted, Walton pursued his vision, founded Wal-Mart and started a retailing success story. When Walton died in 1992, the family's net worth approached $25 billion.Today, Wal-Mart is the world's #1 retailer, with more than 4,150 stores, including discount stores, combination discount and grocery stores, and membership-only warehouse stores (Sam's Club). Learn Walton's winning formula for business.

Your success quote of the day:

"I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Lot of people have been talking of their new year resolutions and all that and I actually saw sense in it anyway cus everyboby wants to do better this year than the last. It didn't take me long before I thought of what my resolution would be but anyhow, I got my mind made up on something. Wanna know? (y so curious) . Well, no big deal just that as school resumed,I stepped into our school premises brearing in mind that I am a first class material and nothing will distract me from being the First Class Barrister of which stuff I am made of. Of course I won't forget a closer work with God this new year. I heard some of my friends saying their new year resolution is to make sure they get married but doesn't that sound funny? How can the most important thing on your mind for this year be to get married when you have not gotten a degree yet? Anyway, it's an individual affair. Have you got a resolution? Just after the Great Depression, Americans, perhaps understandably at the time, took many steps intended to minimize risk. The government guaranteed much of our savings. Citizens bought billions of dollars worth of insurance. We sought lifetime employment and our unions fought for guaranteed annual cost-of-living increases to protect us from inflation. This security-blanket mentality has continued in recent decades as executives awarded themselves giant golden parachutes in case a merger or takeover took their plum jobs.

These measures had many benefits, but the drawbacks have also been heavy, even if less obvious. In our eagerness to avoid risk, we forgot its positive aspects. Many of us continue to overlook the fact that progress comes only when chances are taken. And the security we sought and continue to seek often produces boredom, mediocrity, apathy and reduced opportunity.

We still hear much about security, especially from federal and state politicians. But total security is a myth except, perhaps, for those six feet underground in the cemetery. We may indeed ask our government for guaranteed benefits. But we must be aware that when a structure starts with a floor, walls and ceilings will follow. And herein lies a paradoxical proverb:

You must risk in order to gain security, but you must never seek security.

When security becomes a major goal in life – when fulfillment and joy are reduced to merely holding on, sustaining the status quo – the risk remains heavy. It is then a risk of losing the prospects of real advancement, of not being able to ride the wave of change today and tomorrow. Had the founders of Yahoo, Amazon.com and America Online been concerned with immediate profits and return on investment, we would not be enjoying those Internet services today, each of which has a greater market capitalization than IBM or General Motors.

-- Denis Waitley

Facing Your Fears

What is it that keeps people from living their lives and pursuing their dreams? What is the element that causes so much anxiety and feelings of failure in people all over the world? By the title of this column you have probably figured out that it is fear. Fear can be an ugly word that holds connotations of the worst that life has to offer. But what is it that we really fear? Pain. We all want to avoid pain in our lives. We want to feel good and skip the bad altogether, so we avoid pain by throwing different situations into the fear pile. Whether we group it as fear of physical injury, humiliation, loss of money, or loss of time, the truth is that we are just trying to avoid pain. We are afraid to do certain things because the results of those actions will be very painful to us. So how can we get past this fear? Be honest with yourself. Recognize your weak points, and identify your fears. Have the courage to face those fears, and you will be unstoppable. Remember that most fears are just negative visualization, and that changing that vision to a positive one may be all you need to take steps towards living the life you have always dreamed of living!

Getting Some Self Discipline

It's been a really long time I posted on my site and I'm really sorry about it especially friends who must have visited only to see no new post. What actually happened was that I travelled (I love doing so) and the point is that the place wasn't internet connected so there was no way I could have broswed. Well, let's get on today's article. Is there an easier route to self discipline? Actually, there are many. Here are some of the most effective self discipline tricks and techniques. Why not try them today?
The trick to having better self discipline isn't in working harder, but in working smarter. Here are some ways to do that What is self discipline? It is the ability to control your behavior, to motivate yourself to do the things you should be doing and not do things you shouldn't be doing. Willpower may be considered an element of it, but sometimes trying to "force" yourself to do something just makes things worse. Learn to associate negative feelings with an activity, and it just gets more difficult to do, and less likely that you will do it.
Enjoy what you are doing. If you have ever stayed up all night talking about something interesting, you know what power the mind has over the body. How easily we put off sleep when we are motivated by a passionate discussion. It doesn't take much willpower to keep doing something when you are enjoying it, and that gives us another key to self discipline. When you enjoy what you are doing you are energized. Willpower goes up and down with energy levels, so play energetic music, move around, laugh, and look for ways to enjoy whatever project you are working on. The more you associate good feelings with a task, the easier it is to discipline yourself to do it.

Thank You All

Thank you all for the encouragement and kind words. I am preparing for an exam into the university which is coming on this saturday. Guess what? Well, it can be so painful and frustrating when we fail over and over again especially what we thought we were'nt going to fail or when we count how many times we have failed in that particular endeavour. But there's still no use crying over a spilt milk my brother once told me when I failed mathematics 4 times in different examinations. To be honest, I wasn't really interested in the subject when I was in secondary schcool (10th-12th grades) . Maybe because I didn't understand the teacher or something but whatever it may be, I don't want to give excuses for my failure just that I'm paying for it now. What else will I do but to keep trying. It amazes me to see my papers with straight A's except my maths. Sometimes I cry but I wipe my eyes and prepare for another one because I know of a surety that oneday, God will put smiles on my face. What might have been the problem and you think you have come to a halt all because you failed. Come on! I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Together, let's put failure behind us and give it one more push. Believe you can make it, Image yourself making it and watch that failure yhat seems so BIG begin to shrink. I challenge you to break a record just like Abraham Lincoln. However, Don't forget to pray.

Technorati Tags:Motivation, Success, Failure, Lifestyle

My Trip To Portharcourt

Guess what !, I had the opportunity of travelling to portharcourt though I wasn't that excited as I ought to have been because I was going for a funeral. Well maybe I wasn't sad anyway. I love travelling, infact it's my hobby. Sitting down in the bus, I started imagining what the place would be like and I was feeling like a star doing what I loved best. The journey wasn't bad at all because I had some of my friends beside me to chat with just that by the time we got to a place called Benin, it was late and we had to lodge in an hotel. Wow ! you needed to have seen the sumptous meal we had. By the next morning, we started off the second part of the journey. We passed through Bayelsa and Delta states were the crises had started led to the killing of my friend a Navy Commander. Once again , it dawned on me that we were actually going for a funeral and not the usuall travel. We got to portharcourt just in time to attend the ceremony which had already started. Thank God everything went on fine and the Navy gave him a befitting burial and what amazed me most was to see them standing in the rain during their protocol. The place wasn't bad at all as one thing that fascinated me was their good roads. The journey back was so smooth but there is something I long for. I long to travel to portharcourt once more and this time around, it won't be for a burial.

Technorati Tags:Motivation, Success, Trave&Tours, Lifestyle

A Poem From Someone Who Cares

A friend of mine and wrtter of Tune In The Genius Wuthin Pierre Provost sent me this beautiful
poem and I decided to share with you.

"When I Asked God for Strength
He Gave Me Difficult Situations to Face

When I Asked God for Brain & Just that I travelled and didn't remember to take my notebook with me. I don't really fancy going to the cafe. Well, I'm back anyway.I made a new friend whose name is Joy. She's so beautiful and men!! you need to see her.Though I have lots of friends, there are some who are very dear to my heart. One of the most important things in life, in my opinion, is the concept of best friends .
Anyone who has ever faced a tough decision, lost a loved one through death or divorce, or lost an important career opportunity will likely remember times of confusion and uncertainty. Anyone who has received great news knows how great it feels to share those great news. During similar times, one of the greatest gifts in life is the ability to pick up the phone at any time of day or night (even at 2 a.m.) to call a friend. This is a kind of friend who, even at such an insane time, is willing to say "I love you, I care about you, I am proud of who you are". This kind of friend is there to listen during tough times and ready to celebrate even the smallest sign of all our successes in life.
Each of us deserves at least a couple of these best friends, the kind that get more real as we grow together over time. Like seeds, they don't grow overnight - but nourish us as we nourish them! What actually attracted me was the definition of the word.It was interestingly defined as just over broke and after reading the article, I saw sense in what the man said and decided to share it with you. It is a common trend to see a student graduating and all he or she has in mind is leaving school and going about looking for a job. None but few has in mind of going to create jobs. Like the situation here in nigeria where the number of people looking for jobs is almost outnumbering that of those who has. Even if you get a job, how much are you going to be paid? Is your pay worth what you are giving in?. I have never thought of graduating and going to look for job. I talked with a man whom I met at a shopping mall last week and ( not to my surprise anyway) he told me that he graduateD in 1992 but couldn't get a job till 2000. Imagine living 8 years without a job and getting in 2000 was at a small restaurant. Guest what his job is? A cleaner.Think of owning your own business and the freedom that goes with it. This has made me conclude that job is modernised slavery. Do you think so?

Technorati Tags:Motivation, Success, Job, Lifestyle

Guest Of The Week-Stephen.R.Covey

Stephen R. I was then it dawned on me and I began telling every married person I see father's day wishes. Not meaning to intrude into your family affair but permit me to ask what you gave or said to him. Did you give him a surprise package or said those powerful words like "You are great Daddy" ,"You have a special place in my heart", "You are the best Daddy on the face of the earth". Even if you don't have a gift for him, this lovely words will make him feel appreciated and proud of you. As for me, my Daddy travelled and came back in the night so tired but when I started showering him with the most lovely words , he suddenly regained sttrenght.
