Keep Trying- Don't Give Up

Oh no! not again!!! . Well, it can be so painful and frustrating when we fail over and over again especially what we thought we were'nt going to fail or when we count how many times we have failed in that particular endeavour. But there's still no use crying over a spilt milk my brother once told me when I failed mathematics 4 times in different examinations. To be honest, I wasn't really interested in the subject when I was in secondary schcool (10th-12th grades) . Maybe because I didn't understand the teacher or something but whatever it may be, I don't want to give excuses for my failure just that I'm paying for it now. What else will I do but to keep trying. It amazes me to see my papers with straight A's except my maths. Sometimes I cry but I wipe my eyes and prepare for another one because I know of a surety that oneday, God will put smiles on my face. What might have been the problem and you think you have come to a halt all because you failed. Come on! I can see light at the end of the tunnel. Together, let's put failure behind us and give it one more push. Believe you can make it, Image yourself making it and watch that failure yhat seems so BIG begin to shrink. I challenge you to break a record just like Abraham Lincoln. However, Don't forget to pray.

My Trip To Portharcourt

Guess what !, I had the opportunity of travelling to portharcourt though I wasn't that excited as I ought to have been because I was going for a funeral. Well maybe I wasn't sad anyway. I love travelling, infact it's my hobby. Sitting down in the bus, I started imagining what the place would be like and I was feeling like a star doing what I loved best. The journey wasn't bad at all because I had some of my friends beside me to chat with just that by the time we got to a place called Benin, it was late and we had to lodge in an hotel. Wow ! you needed to have seen the sumptous meal we had. By the next morning, we started off the second part of the journey. We passed through Bayelsa and Delta states were the crises had started led to the killing of my friend a Navy Commander. Once again , it dawned on me that we were actually going for a funeral and not the usuall travel. We got to portharcourt just in time to attend the ceremony which had already started. Thank God everything went on fine and the Navy gave him a befitting burial and what amazed me most was to see them standing in the rain during their protocol. The place wasn't bad at all as one thing that fascinated me was their good roads. The journey back was so smooth but there is something I long for. I long to travel to portharcourt once more and this time around, it won't be for a burial.

A Poem From Someone Who Cares

A friend of mine and wrtter of Tune In The Genius Wuthin Pierre Provost sent me this beautiful
poem and I decided to share with you.

"When I Asked God for Strength
He Gave Me Difficult Situations to Face

When I Asked God for Brain & Brawn
He Gave Me Puzzles in Life to Solve

When I Asked God for Happiness
He Showed Me Some Unhappy People

When I Asked God for Wealth
He Showed Me How to Work Hard

When I Asked God for Favors
He Showed Me Opportunities to Work Hard

When I Asked God for Peace
He Showed Me How to Help Others

God Gave Me Nothing I Wanted
But, He Gave Me Everything I Needed

- Swami Vivekananda"

Best of Friends

I'm so sorry I've not updated for sometime now. Just that I travelled and didn't remember to take my notebook with me. I don't really fancy going to the cafe. Well, I'm back anyway.I made a new friend whose name is Joy. She's so beautiful and men!! you need to see her.Though I have lots of friends, there are some who are very dear to my heart. One of the most important things in life, in my opinion, is the concept of best friends .
Anyone who has ever faced a tough decision, lost a loved one through death or divorce, or lost an important career opportunity will likely remember times of confusion and uncertainty. Anyone who has received great news knows how great it feels to share those great news. During similar times, one of the greatest gifts in life is the ability to pick up the phone at any time of day or night (even at 2 a.m.) to call a friend. This is a kind of friend who, even at such an insane time, is willing to say "I love you, I care about you, I am proud of who you are". This kind of friend is there to listen during tough times and ready to celebrate even the smallest sign of all our successes in life.
Each of us deserves at least a couple of these best friends, the kind that get more real as we grow together over time. Like seeds, they don't grow overnight - but nourish us as we nourish them! Got some?
